Liz is here!

My sister Liz came to play......I always love when she comes because she is so funny and is always up for anything. When she got here I couldn't stop starring at her, she has lost 50lbs and looks FAB! Thanks to my husband we were able to spend some sister time together ......exercising, laying out, shopping, lunch, toes, and of course dessert!
Here we are in our matching outfits we bought at the store. We played with the idea of dressing like twins when we went out to lunch together, wisely we passed....
Davie & Kamryn

Neither of us knew it, but our girls had matching swimsuits.....you gotta love Target!

They even got into trouble with each other. They would go in the bathroom and make "bubbles" in the sink. The bathroom had an inch of water on the floor and they were drenched head to toe by the time we found them....twice.

Way to go Luke!

Luke and Brock played baseball (machine pitch) on the Giants this year. I am so glad Luke and Brock played on the same team again. I love watching these little guys play together, and the carpool is always a plus! Way to go Luke, he got most improved player!

Father's Day 2010

This year I had my sister Liz help me take these pictures for Travis's Father's Day present. I loved this idea, I found it on another girls blog who is super creative. Thanks Lizzie!

Another year where we get to honor our favorite dad. I always think my kids must have done something really special in the pre-life to get to have him as their father......

Here are the top list of what I love about Travis as a father:
  • He makes everything fun.
  • He plays goofy with the kids, so I don't have too.
  • Positive attitude, always smiling....I am so glad my kids get to be around that.
  • He is a hard worker for our family.
  • He always tells the kids stories at night when he tucks them into bed.
  • He cuddles with all of them.
  • He is a consistent example for our kids.
  • He is passionate about the gospel and shows that through his teachings to them.
Here is what the kids love about him:

Brynn 10yrs" He makes me feel safe and cuddles me."
Kennedy 9yrs" He protects me and makes us laugh."
Luke 7yrs "He watches me play baseball and cuddles me."
Drew 4yrs "He cuddles me and puts me to bed and reverent."
Kamryn 2yrs" Mickey, Minnie, Pooh"

Newport Beach Vacation

DISNEYLAND
Our family trip this year was to Newport beach for four days. We started at Disneyland for a couple of hours, but decided to go because it was so crowded.

NEWPORT BEACH

We then went and checked into the Newport Marriott Villas. This property is AMAZING. I loved it here. Very family friendly, even to large families. I recommend it to anyone....
Exterior

This is us on the property......can you see the ocean behind us? It is on a bluff, so you get endless views of the ocean, you can't beat that.
This is at their rec area: Basketball, golf, park, and fire pit.....it was sunset so it's hard to make out the ocean behind Travis.
Kamryn was so funny and insisted on wearing these goggles the whole time at the pool. They kept fogging up, I have no idea how she could see out of them!

Kamryn walked down a little sand hill and fell, so I had to snap a picture of her.
Kamryn kept trying to steal my towel

OUT TO DINNER AT HUNTINGTON PIER
There is a fun pier at Huntington Beach with a Ruby's Diner at the end of it. I thought it would be fun to eat there. It serves yummy hamburgers, shakes and fries. We had a fun time watching surfers, fisherman, and seals.

That night we got pizza and made smore's at the camp fire.
(the lady in the back round kept asking how many kids we had...funny)
There is something about being away from home as a family.....it takes you out of the ordinary and brings you together in a different way. I can't wait to return, and make more memories with our little family!!

Room Makeover

It was time to give my girls room a little TLC. They have slept in this bed with this same bedding since they were 2yrs and 3 yrs old. This was definitely over due.......

New Room
Lov'in It
I tried picking something that would work in their teen years. I found the idea through PB Teen, but bought everything new on ebay. By doing that I saved tons, making the room only a fraction of the price! I am so glad they finally have a room they love to be in.

A Garden Visitor!

Look what Drew discovered in our garden.....when he first yelled that there was a snake, I thought for sure he was confused by the garden hose. Guess I was sorely mistaken.

We called animal control, but no one ever came and it slithered away into the unknown.....great!

Huntington Beach Get Away

Travis and I hired a babysitter so we could escape for two nights. It was so worth every penny! We lounged by the pool, went hot tubing, slept in, walked down the pier, watched the surfers, walked on the beach at sunset, went out to eat at yummy restaurants, went to the movies.......

This is a really popular cupcake shop that recently opened up. There are only 5 open in the US right now. I LOVE cupcakes, so I was SOOO excited to try these. They were very good, but super $$. It cost $19 for 6 cupcakes, definitely a first and last splurge.

This was the balcony from our hotel room. You can't go wrong with a view of the beach. We love the HYATT in Huntington. It is such a great stay for the price........
I love getting away with Travis, it is one of my TOP favorite activities. I cherish these moments! Thank you for taking the time to make us a priority!
