Saying Goodbye to Jennie

Garcia's Ward Goodbye Gathering
Had to say goodbye to my dearest Yucaipa friend.  We met almost 10yrs ago and hit it off ever since.  She was the one I would call to talk about nothing.  When I had exciting news or sad news she would be the one I called.  Someone once called us the light and dark version of eachother, we always got a laugh out of that!  Farewell to all of our Target runs or Queen Bean Cafe visits.  Life in Yucaipa will not be the same for me without her.
Last night together at Macaroni Grill
Her last week in town we tried doing as much as we could together, to enjoy every moment with eachother before that chance was gone.  We always said that Heavenly Father gave us each other to get through those "young mom" days when we were couped up and needed to get out and go to the park with someone.  Thank heavens he didn't take her out of my life then, we got each other to a good place before she left.
We had a connection that is hard to find and cannot be made up.  Saying goodbye was tearful, but happy for the opportunities this brings her family!
Saying goodbye............xoxo to my girl Jennie!

Basketball Season 2014

Luke is in the 5th /6th grade division.  His team was good enough to go in the upper division, but once in there they haven't won very many.  Luke is one of the best players, but it's hard because they are a young team that is playing a lot of TALL 6th graders!
Drew is in division 1st/ 2nd grades.  He is having a great year.  It is a family affair....Clint's the coach, Liz is the assistant coach, and I am the team mom.  Its fun watch Drew and Pearce make plays all the time together.....they make a good team!  They have had an awesome year!

Brynn's Patriachal Blessing

Brynn with Patriarch Morgan
This was such a special day.  Brynn getting her blessing was such a neat experience.  When we called and set her appointment the Patriarch asked how old she was and we said 14 1/2yrs.  He said that is the perfect age.  These kids need these blessings as guidance through their high school years.  After hearing it, I know he was right!  As a parent it gives you so much HOPE for your child, and I have seen a strength in Brynn ever since receiving this.  This was the first time I experienced this from the parent side of things.  I was able to see Brynn for a moment as a mature spirit, and all her potential.  I was able to see that she is my equal, not under me.  Her blessing was so beautiful, promises that any parent could hope for their daughter.  It gave me such a reverent respect for the spirit she is and the amazing person and mother she will become.
