Thanksgiving Cruise 2014

We decided to get out of town and do a cruise for Thanksgiving again this year.  We first went to Las Vegas, because that's where we flew out of to FL.  We tried going early to walk on the Strip and see the Bellogio Water show.  When we got there and after waiting 45min it said it wasn't showing that night due to technical difficulties, so that was a disappointment.  We did go into the M&M Factory, so that was fun.  After flying a red-eye into Ft. Lauderdale, we landed in FL at 5:00am.  So we got a hotel for the morning where we all slept squished in 2 beds for a couple hours!  Then we hit the cruise.  We went on the Allure of the Seas.  It has surfing, rock climbing, zip lining, ice skating, etc.  It was a huge boat, with all you can eat ice cream, doughnuts, and cookies!  The kids were in heaven!  Our stops were Bahamas, St. Thomas, and St. Maartin.

Our Sail Away Party......Goodbye Florida!

Nassau Bahamas
We were back at Bahamas for a second time (lucky kids!), but sadly the boat was only docked there for 4 hours.  SO we hit Cabbage beach for a second time.

I love this picture of Drew

Kennedy, Mom, Dad, and Brynn were all on TV for the 70's Party!!!

ST. Thomas
SO our cruise boat got into St. Thomas much later than expected because their turbo engine went out.  I was pretty bummed because this was the day I had been looking most forward too.  We taxied to Megan's Bay (one of the top 10 most beautiful beaches).  By the time we had gotten there in the late afternoon after paying $140 round trip taxi for 7! it was already getting overcast and dusk making it hard to see the beauty of the beach.  It rained on us a couple time too.  And I got bit by tons of sand fleas here and didn't know it.  45 bites to be exact, needless to say I was itching the rest of the cruise!

Megan's Bay

I was getti eaten alive and didn't know it!!!

That's my man!

Love these pictures of the girls!

St. Maarten
This was the day I was least looking forward too (because we had a bad experience the last time we were here), but it ended up being the best! And it was Thankgiving that day!  So thankful!

We taxied over to Mullet Bay and it was beautiful!  It was were snorkel tour boats would stop at with their tours. The snorkeling was pretty good, beach was so awesome and the water was amazing!

After a couple hours we walked to the next Beach over called Maho.  That is were planes land really close over your head, and when they take off you get so much wind kick back that its like a Hurricane!

walking to Maho.....

This gives you an idea of how close they land over our heads.  Air France the big 747 landed over our heads too!  They kids had a blast!
Air France coming in, and below is showing the kids getting sand blasted from a plane taking off.  We would have gotten more shots, but then Travis and I had to run because we were getting sand blasted too.  Travis even had welts from the sand!

Goodbye Maho.......

On our last day we got kicked off the boat and rented a car for the day till pass time till our flight took off that night.  So we drove do to Miami and checked it out.  This is a picture of Luke on South Beach, Miami.  It's a hot spot down there!  Then we flew home to Vegas, drove home and crawled in bed at 4am.....long day, but well worth it.  So grateful for the chance to go make memories with my kids for our short time in their lives that we are all together under one roof.
