Dad in Charge

This is what happened when my handsome husband was in charge of feeding and getting Kamryn to bed.  Travis warned I might be mad at this picture.  He knows I like my baby to get a good sound nap.  I am so sad when I see a tired baby, not even just my own, any baby.  I asked what she had for lunch, he said "life cereal and milk".  Oh Kamryn, such a sad, yet such a cute picture.  Sweet dreams.

T-Ball

Luke 6yrs
Catching for the Cubs
Luke and Brock

Baseball is finally being introduced in the Salisbury household, and Travis is pretty happy about it.  Baseball was big in both of our families, so it's fun to see Luke doing it.  Luke's best friend is Brock, even better, he is his cousin. They have a great friendship, and I love seeing them play on a team together.  Have a great first season Luke!

A Night Out With The Lowes

Travis and Brent
Krissy and Meredith
Travis and I had a MUCH needed night out.  I have been holding up really good this busy season, having to deal with life without a husband/father, till this week!  The meltdown came, and it wasn't pretty.  At least I got 2 months into it before it happened.  Needless to say I was really looking forward to going out with one of our favorite couples.  Travis has known Brent since pre-school, or even longer,  since birth!  So to get to spend a Saturday night with them, is like being with family.  They are both really funny and to hear all of their memories is quite entertaining. So with dinner, shopping, dessert, and a promise to see each other soon, we felt refreshed and ready to face another few weeks of busy season!  Thanks Lowe's!

Luke's Birthday!

Luke's birthday morning
Celebrating Mark, Kennedy, + Luke's Birthdays
Luke's Birthday Party
Luke is 6yrs, for some reason that just seems unbelievable to me.  I still have a makeup bronzer (I use every day) that I bought right before he was born, he can't be 6 already.  His birthday was the day after Kennedy's baptism, so we were so lucky to still have the Salisbury's visiting.  Luke is my very "determined" child.  He definitely makes me earn my parent title.  Yet at times he is so sweet.  At night now, the only way he will pray is by hugging me, even though my back kills by the end because I am trying to reach him on the top bunk, I will cherish that memory forever.  Happy 6th Birthday Luke.  I love you.

Kennedy's Baptism

Travis and Kennedy
Kennedy and a happy mom!

Salisbury Family
Party Time! This water was 45 degrees!

Travis's family timed a Disneyland trip around Kennedy's baptism, we feel so lucky to share this with them (well a 1/4th of them).  They made such an effort to be here.  Kennedy was so excited and ready to be baptised.  She wore the same dress Brynn did, then changed into a new white dress that she can wear to remember this day.  It doesn't seem that long ago when I was being guided by my mother to take all these steps, now I am the one guiding.  It's so surreal being on the other side and helping your daughter take her first steps into the font, and handing her off to Travis, I could feel the spirit so strong.  I remember peeking at her while she was being confirmed with the Holy Ghost, her face was so angelic.  That whole day getting ready, and even after being baptised when I was drying her off we kept sing this song together called "What Heaven See's in You".  This song teaches about the three white dresses, their beauty, worth, and is everything I would ever want my daughters to believe.  I have no doubt that at Kennedy's baptism "the Father looked down and the angels surrounded that place".....here is a link that song:

With three daughter's this song always brings tears to my eyes.

Happy Birthday Kennedy!

8 years old!
Family gifts. (Notice Drew having birthday confusion)
Kennedy's "peeps"
Rain Forest Cafe

My little Kennedy is 8 years old!  We had a fun day starting with family presents before school than a b-day party after school.  Kennedy is the type person that could invite 20 friends and still not be done, so I had to draw the line at 7 girls.  We started a new tradition on the kids 8th birthday that they can choose a restaurant of their choice to  go out and celebrate their baptism. Kennedy chose Rain Forest Cafe.  It was a fun night, besides losing each other in a one mile mall!  I know everyone says this about their kid, but Kennedy is truly a light.  She is the type person that brightens up a room.  She is my ray of sunshine, and I am so glad I get to call her mine!

Project

Well, I couldn't think of anything to post about this week.  So, I decided to post about the project I finally completed.  This is one of my favorite pictures that my sister Liz took.  I blew it up to 2 feet x 3 feet, and put it up in the kids bonus room.  I really wanted something that made my kids feel united.  I grew up in a large family, and I really felt a sense of unity, like I was part of a really cool club or something.  I know they may not notice now, but eventually I hope this picture makes them realize they are part of something pretty special......a family.
