Halloween 2013

Carving pumpkins!  Travis does not look forward to all the carving of intriqute details, so we went simple this year!  They all did their own design!

Luke wanted to avoid all contact with me, but I got him to stop and get a shot.  He and Brock were both Mike Trout!
Kennedy with her 7th grade friends.....she was in character the whole day as Napoleon.  She told me she was going to play tether ball at recess and draw Ligers!

 Kamryn the cat!
 Drew as Mike Trout
 Luke as Mike Trout
Luke said his favorite part of the night was when they knocked on a door with lights out and didn't realize it.  Once they did they ran away really fast away towards a house next door that had awesome Halloween music playing and still running right then a huge fire work went off in the back round....he said he felt like he was in a movie!  Running to music and fireworks going off in the backround does sound like a movie! Ha!
 Kennedy as Napoleon Dynamite
( I was laughing when I was getting her ready for ward Trunk or Treat because any boy who may have a crush on her in the ward will be really confused tonight! Because she played the part very well!)
Brynn as Deb from Napoleon Dynamite (She made all those lanyards too!)
Salisbury Kids Halloween 2013
Payton came over to Trick or Treat with the girls and she was cracking us up as a Grandma.  These were their family portraits with Grandma.

 Hilarious!
Grandma photo bombing in the back round!

Camping

My sister Liz last minute asked if we wanted to go camping that night.  Our weekend was actually completely free, which doesn't usually happen.  Clint's family couldn't make it.  So we gathered what we had in gear, which wasn't much, seeing that we have only camped ONCE as a family in 14yrs!  The crazy thing is this camp ground is only a mile from our house and we had never been.  The kids had a great time exploring and it was comforting to know if we needed anything we could just slip down the hill and grab it!
 Getting the fire going
Late night camp stories with the Marshall's
Camp breakfast always taste better than normal. Pancakes, eggs, and sausage!
We had a great time, besides all the packing, unpacking and 3 loads of laundry all done within less than 24hours!

Cute Sayings

Mom:  "Kids remember it's fast Sunday today."
Kamryn:  "Mom, does fast Sunday mean church goes fast on that day?"
I just smiled......too cute.

Kamryn:  "Mom, why did Jesus make C & K sound the same?"
I had no answer for that!

I was tucking in Drew for the night and cuddling him and he said.....
Drew:  "I want to kiss you so long, all the way till Jesus comes again!"

One fast Sunday Luke was upset for having to fast.
Mom:  "Luke, it's important for us to fast, so we can give the money that we save by not eating and give it to those who need it."
Luke: " WHY can't we just eat AND still give them money??"

Ha! Make sense for a 10yr old, right? I tried teaching him more, but he was still upset that he couldn't eat anyways.

Family Dinner Time

My brother Leroy and his wife Kelli were in town for work and were able to swing by for a Sunday family dinner.  We had such a fun time eating, dessert, and watching old family videos!  We had to take a laughing picture to try and make the other 3 siblings jealous that they were missing out!  Love family time!
