Good Times, Good Friends

Brent Lowe, Travis Salisbury, Brandon Jenks

These are a couple of Travis's best friends. They have all grown up together since they were toddlers. That is something I don't' have since I moved every 2 years growing up. I really love seeing them all together, they are so fun to be around.

Krissy Lowe, Meredith Salisbury, Jen Jenks (the only way I could post this is I had to mention she had been at Sea World in the rain all day, she still looks beautiful)

Merry Christmas 2010

We had such a nice Christmas this year. We did Christmas eve at Clint's house and held Christmas dinner at our house. Santa wrapped the presents for the first time this year and I think it will be a continued requests.

We entered the world of video games. Can you tell my kids are excited?! Travis and I have never been fans, but then we decided we were only punishing ourselves. So with a little bit of rules to go with it, I think this will be something fun for the whole family!

To Us.....

I made the best decision thirteen years ago and married this guy! Happy Anniversary Travis, can't believe we are now in the teen years......wow!

Family Pictures

We took just a quick shot of family pictures with Liz over Thanksgiving in Cedar City. We literally rolled into her drive way and went right out to take a quick photo.......we were all so freezing, trying to adjust our bodies from So. Cal weather to snow. I needed something for a Christmas card and Liz always seems rescue me, thanks Lizzie!!

Hawaii Get Away!

(This is at Waianapanapa State Park)
I am on such a HIGH right now! This trip was so rejuvenating and I feel like I got my groove back! Just what the Dr. ordered: 6 Nights in Maui..........

Hyatt Hotel in Maui

This is Honolua Bay our first snorkel spot

Sight seeing on Northern Maui

On our way into Honolua Bay we had to walk thru a little jungle, it was so fun. There were even wild chickens running around.

Our second night we hit a Luau, it was great. The fire dancer was insane!
This time we decided to brave the drive to Hana, and I am SO glad we did. The road was very windy and small. Having a convertible made the drive so enjoyable to see the scenery and get fresh air to off set getting car sick.

Can you see the tiny road along the end of the cliff......that is Hana Highway

This waterfall was right off the road.

Waianapnapa State Park was by far my favorite stop......I think this is now one of my favorite spots in the world. Blue water, black sand beach, Lava cave, and Lava blow hole.......awesome!
The picture of Travis at the top is from here, I couldn't get the picture back in the right spot!

We had a picnic lunch, so yummy.

The Blow Hole

I like this picture because Travis was telling me he wanted to kiss me!

Paradise!

This black sand was incredible......I loved hanging at the Black Sand Beach!

We made it to Hana, such a cute little town.

Driving with the top down thru Hana!

We went about 30 minutes past Hana to do a 2 mile hike to the Waimuko Falls, it is a water fall that is 400 feet. The hike included smaller waterfalls and a huge bamboo forest. So great to be out in nature. Travis and I had so much to see and such little day-light left that we jogged most of the hike.

We came across this huge Banyan Tree!

Entering the bamboo forest.

We made it!

At the base of the waterfall!

Hiking back thru the Bamboo Forest.

The Ohe'o Gulch also known as the Seven Sacred Pools.
There were warning signs saying the ocean is dangerous with strong waves and grey sharks!

The Seven Sacred Pools!

This was so fun, but the water was so cold!

We went on a Whale Watching Tour, they were just arriving so there were not many to see. We were lucky enough to see about 15 on our trip. We saw some tail slapping, and one actually jumped out of the water in front of us!

Lahina Harbor

Snorkeling Black Rock on our last day......we snorkeled about 5 different areas in Maui. We saw a few Turtles, an eel, and lots of tropical fish. I was good for about 20 or 30 minutes until I would start to freak myself out......Travis always knew when I hit that point because he would see my fins kicking as fast as they could back to shore.

The waves were starting to get big that day. Travis did a little body surfing.

Our last sunset in Maui.....we came out to Ho'okipa Beach and watched some huge 15 foot waves roll in. There is nothing like getting away with Travis. We were asked twice if we were honeymooners, I love when we get mistakened for that!! People are pretty surprised when we tell them no, and that it's 13yrs and 5 kids later since our honeymoon. I asked Travis "Are you sad it's our last day here?" He said "No, because it means it will be one day closer to our next trip." I really loved that answer!
