Viva Mexico!

Warning: Major pictures!! Travis and I took a trip to Playa Del Carmen Mexico. The trip was amazing, and the hotel was incredible. I would get misted down pool side, brought mango virgin dachery's, and called "My lady" all day! It had about 6 restaurant's to roam between and we STUFFED ourselves. We went for six nights with our BYU vacation buddies!
On our bus ride into the ruins Tulum. I love this place. It is rich with gospel history. It had temples, baptismal fonts, and pictures of the "laying on of hands" for healing:

This is our boat ride going out to snorkel in Cozumel. The water was unbelievably blue! We swam with a tour guide for 3 miles in the ocean. We saw 4 sharks, 1 sting ray, 3 turtles, and tons of baracudas. Travis was good staying by my side till the first shark sighting...he took off, not swimming away from the shark, but chasing it. It was a day we will never forget.

Guess who?? Mr. Flexible. He and Jason decided to take on the resorts yoga instructor. The other instructor stopped just to stare at Travis.

Travis rapelling (I did these too, but we don't have all the pictures yet)

Snorkeling in a cave

Walking down 5th Avenue.
This street was lined with Mexican Markets. Torwards the last day, when my tan had set in, I was in one of the shops. I hear a voice behind me ask " Are your prices in pesos or dollars?" It was funny, it must be the new dark hair.
Thanks Travis for taking me to see and appreciate new parts of the world. We love you Quigley's and Williams. We loved our trip, but we were ready to come home to 5 little tight hugs, 5 dirty faces, and lots of love!

Happy Father's Day Travis!

I love this man! He is still my "boyfriend" after 15yrs. of knowing each other. He is everything I have ever wanted in a husband and a father. Sometimes I wonder what these 5 kids did in the pre-existence to be so blessed to have him. He is the father that teaches the gospel with so much wisdom. He can make anything in the gospel make perfect sense. Yet he is also the father who can light up a room with his smile and humor. He makes us a priority in his life and these kids will grow up with a great sense of self-worth because of his dedication to us. Happy Father's Day!

Jande, you're the best!

This is my beautiful sister-in-law who came out to watch our kids for 6 nights all by herself! She left her family to come and help us, so we could go enjoy a vacation in Mexico (entry to come). The kids LOVED her. I left her a lot of easy to prepare foods, and the kids told me that they had the dinners they always dreamed of! Thanks Jande and Chad for sacrificing so much to help us, it meant a lot to us. Now it's your turn to come leave your kids and go on a CA get-away!

Kamryn Show and Tell

Kennedy and Kamryn at "show and tell"

Kennedy decided on her last day of "show and tell" that she was going to bring Kamryn. So I took her in all dressed up with a bow and all. Kennedy told some facts about her, including her family nicknames: "little HoBo and little Bum", those were not given by me! All the kids giggled at all of her movements, and got to ask Kennedy questions about her. One kid asked "which do you like better your little brother or your little sister?" Kennedy wisely answered "Both."

Doughnuts For Dad

For the up coming Father's Day, Luke's class did a morning of "Doughnuts for Dad". It was so cute. They sang for them, served them doughnuts, and read. Luke was thrilled to have Travis come. I am glad Travis got to have that one on one time with Luke this morning.

Fathers and Sons

Luke Fishing
Drew Fishing
Luke & Drew

The boys got to go spend some quality time together in the woods on Fathers and Sons. This was Drew's first year going and was really excited. Once they got there, they had lots of things planned. They all got out of the car and slammed all the doors........with the keys on the front seat. So Travis spent the next 2 hours (really 10 mins, but that wasn't as good of a story) trying to break into our van. He was successful and now officially knows how to hijack a car. After that they hiked, ate yummy food, went fishing, and carved their name on a tree. While they were doing the "manly" stuff, the girls and I enjoyed a night of shopping, a movie, and dessert! I love this weekend.
