A Date With Luke

This was the day we have been waiting for, to go and follow up with the Oncologist. We went early to draw blood, and then went back in the afternoon to discuss the results. So we decided to make a date out of the morning!

After he got his blood drawn we went to Target, Toys R Us (where we got his halloween costume), and out to Frugos Frozen Yogurt. It was so fun walking around and holding his hand. Every time I told someone we were on a date, he being embarrassed would say "No we're not!" Such a boy.

As for the results: Everything looks normal except for his elevated LDH (which can be connected with Leukemia). So we will go back in a month and redraw. If it is still elevated we will talk about doing the bone marrow biopsy. His spleen and lymph nodes are still swollen, so no more soccer (for 4 weeks). The overall picture looks very promising. He is acting as healthy as ever, and is even back to causing trouble around the house. That's my Luke, welcome back! Thanks for a great day.

I'm glad to read that most of his results were normal and that he's acting like himself again. He's so cute.

We are glad to hear everything looks good! Kenzie and Landon had big eye and open mouths when I took them that Luke could play soccer. Kenzie wanted to know if he could go outside and play at school! I can totally see Luke saying you guys are NOT on a date! Gotta love them!

I haven't read your blog in a while, but was sad to here what you were going through with Luke. We will be praying that the rest of his tests turn out okay.
