For Spring Break this year we went to St. George to see my parents new house. Two of my other sisters met me there. We had a great time.
Day One
Salisbury's & LaRoses
We went on a little Sunday walk, this is all right in my mom's back yard.
Kennedy, Drew, and Luke
My little poser!
Kyler, Kamryn, and Brynn
That night we did birthday's at Grandma's. Kennedy and Keldon are 4 days apart and both turned 12yrs. On that birthday my parents give a $400 check for them to use towards their missions or college.
For all the other birthday's they do the money jar.......Luke pulled out $6.50 of change.
Drew & Troy
Day Two
The next day we headed out to explore St George. We had a picnic lunch at Snow Canyon.
Liz took us all to these dark caves in the ground. It was kind of hard to get down and pretty deep.
Me looking down at the group, before we headed deeper into the ground!
As we were heading down into the cave, it looked just like the one on Brave where Mardoo the bear came out of! I was trying to breathe calmly as I was thinking of being slightly claustrophobic and having the cave close in on us!!.
Once we were in there it was pitch black. Liz cut open glow sticks and sprayed the liquid
all over us and the caves. It looked incredible, just like Space Mountain at Disneyland. Everything was glowing like stars. We played hide and seek down there for a while, you could lay on a boulder and blend right in. Finally I took Kamryn up early because she was crying because she wasn't the winner!
This picture was in complete darkness, I didn't even know where to aim the camera. It was such a fun experience that I know my kids will be talking about for a long time!
Londyn, Brynn, & Kennedy
Our next adventure that day was off to the sand dunes, the kids had a ball!
Rolling in the sand......I was trying not to think of it all back at the house!
Luke....
Taking a.....
Tumble!
Luke, Karson, and Keldon
The next adventure was squeezing through a narrow.....
I had done this a few years ago and opted to take pictures (still recovering from the claustrophobia in the cave)!
Looking down into the narrow, Luke, Drew, and Londyn
Kennedy, and Jenna......See how tight that is!!
On top of Dixie Rock....over looking the city and Temple
Thought this was a sweet picture of Drew overlooking the temple
Drew, Luke, Keldon, Kyler, Karson, Londyn, Kennedy, Kamryn, Davie, and Brynn
View of the St. George Temple
Hiking back down Dixie Rock
Once we made it down, we got a fire going and roasted hot dogs and marshmallows!
Luke finally one with nature (he loves the outdoors)....
Day Three
Working together for an early St. Patrick's Breakfast. Pancakes with green syrup!
Grandpa treated the family to Iceburgs....everything was HUGE there. The shakes we are all holding are the "mini" size!!!!
Check out these Onion Rings.....they were the size of Donuts!
Nothing is better than a Sister.......
Next adventure was off to the St George Aquatic Center. We ran into some friends from Yucaipa there (the Goldings). Small world!
Luke, Keldon, Kennedy, and Londyn
Davie, and Kamryn
Luke & Keldon, with everyone's favorite cousin baby Troy. He kept playing with Luke's ear.
Kamryn and Kyler.....big day!
Day Four
We went to the St. George Temple Visitor Center and walked around the grounds. The temple is so white, it was hard to look at in the sun. They only repaint it every 10 years!
LaRose's & Salisbury's
Kamryn sitting on the temple steps
We went on a tour of Brigham Young's Winter Home
This is Brigham's room and his original cane and hat....cool!
Kamryn asked Aunt Jenna to take her picture here in the yard of Brigham's House
On the porch
We had a great time, Brynn told me it was her favorite UT trip yet!
Day Five
We headed to my dear friend Julie's house who lives in Las Vegas.....We played at the park a couple times, ate pizza & ice cream. They like to call themselves the Shippbury's. Cute! No one wanted to leave home.
