Halloween 2011

We had a great Halloween Holiday.  Filled with friend and ward parties.....and lots of pumpkin goodies!

We got this dress in Spain.....she was so cute in it I made her wait to use it for Halloween.  She called it her ladybug dress.....Halloween night she would do a little dance for people where she would clap her hands to each side.  She usually got a tip with more candy....that's what I call a TRICK for a TREAT!

 

Daddy Daughter Date

Kennedy and Travis were able to go on a Halloween Daddy Daughter Date for activity days! They had dinner, played games, and carved pumpkins.  Travis was a Yucaipa High baseball player and Kennedy was Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz! They had a great time!

Pumpkin Patch Field Trips

Kamryn and her pre-school class headed to the local pumpkin patch!  She loved the hayride thru the pumpkin fields, and petting all the animals.

The next week Drew's kindergarten class went to the pumpkin patch on a field trip.

Sneaking Oreo's

One morning I was taking Luke to the dentist.  I had worked so hard getting his teeth all brushed and flossed so he could at least go with some decent hygiene.  As we were driving, I looked in my review mirror and noticed Luke was trying to be really sneaky about something.  I watched a bit more and noticed he had snuck some oreo's from the pantry before we had left and was eating them in the back seat of the car!  Needless to say I was so mad at him......we showed up at the dentists office with his teeth looking like this!

Forest Falls

 Our kids had a day off from school so we went up the road to Forest Falls.  Its a small hike to a really high waterfall.  The kids loved being up there.  Afterward we went home and saw the movie Dolphin Tale.  Fun day!

See the waterfall at the top of the ravine.  It was really pretty and had lots of small pools at the bottom.

Drew's Dialogue

My friend was substituting in Drew's primary class.  She asked "What does it mean to bear a testimony?"  She said Drew raised his hand right away and said " It is when you get up and say how much you believe in Santa."

Once in awhile when the kids are disputing, Travis will go and whisper in the younger ones ear so they can have some good comebacks against the older kids.  Not sure how I feel about that quite yet??? Anyway, Drew was fueding with Brynn and Travis was telling Drew all the right things to say back.  Brynn was saying how she was going to klobber Drew, so Travis whispered for Drew to say " Yah, well I am stronger than you", right then he turned to Travis and quietly whispered "Dad in real life she is way stronger than me."
