Drew's Baptism

We had a very special day baptizing Drew.  Travis parents and 3 brothers were here for it.  Kennedy (When I Am Baptized) and Brynn (I Am a Child of God) both played one of the songs for the program.  Me, Brynn, Kennedy, and Sherri sang a musical number "If the Savior Stood Beside Me".  His Uncle Chandler gave a nice talk on Baptism and the gift of the Holy Ghost.  It was really special seeing Drew walk into the water with his dad.  Drew said the water was cold.  One of the sweetest things I saw that day that I will never forget was when Drew was getting the Holy Ghost, I looked at Drew during it and he has the most peaceful face but tears were falling down his cheeks.  He wiped the first one and then let the others just fall.  Right then my eyes really saw Drew and the power of his little spirit.  Travis gave a beautiful blessing, and said he could feel Drew's spirit during the blessing.  He said "I felt small giving him that blessing".  I later asked Drew why he was crying and he said because he was so happy.  So amazing.  Mark mentioned during the musical number he could hear 5 voices, the other sound like Drew's Great Grandma Cook.  He choked up when he said this, but was later confirmed by our neighbor who was there.  She said she thought she could feel the presence of something more powerful than her while Drew was getting baptized in the font.  It was a spirit I can describe unless you were there that day, one I will never forget.

Drew has friends of all ages.  These are some of his teenager friends in the ward that came to support him.  So sweet!
Drew's after party celebration!
We are so happy for all those who came to support Drew, especially Mark & Sherri coming all the way from Washington to be here and bond our family time even more!
I have been laughing because Drew has been trying so hard not to sin, and Luke has been trying so hard to count all of Drew sins these couple days, and making sure Drew knows about them! Haha!

Drew's Baptism Photoshoot

My sister Liz moved here a few months ago and with her she brought lots of talents!  She took Drew's pictures for his baptism and then put together an invitation for him!  Thanks Liz!

When we were taking this picture of him reading the scriptures, Drew made us waait till he opened to a specific chapter in 4 Nephi and found a verse on Baptism!  Funny Boy!
One of the sweetest boys I know.................Love you Drew

The next day we took a day trip to San Diego.

Brynn and Drew being part of the Nativity

After the temple we went to Lajolla Cove where all the seals lay on the beach.

Kamryn, Drew, Kennedy, and Luke up and close to the seals.

Next stop was the Mormon Battalion.....great hands on museum and story.  Here is a replica of one of their wagons they traveled in.

We walked around Old Town where the Mormons established.  Ate so delicious Mexican food too!

Fit in a quick visit to the Padre's Stadium......great day with great company!

Drew's Scary Face

Drew brought this school project home the other day(I am assuming from Halloween).  I asked him what it was, and he said he had to make a scary face on the spider, but he didn't know how too.  I had to smile, because he is my sweet sensitive one and he can't even pull off a scary face! Ha!

High School Water Polo

Brynn made the freshman Water Polo Team for High School!  We are so happy for her.  She tried really hard getting ready for try-outs.  My sister Liz who is an awesome athlete helped train Brynn for about 6 weeks, Brynn also went to optional morning practices twice a week at 5 am!  From there going straight to seminary and straight to school.  There were 77 girls who tried out and only 36 made it!  Her efforts really paid off!

Liz timing Brynn on her sprint swims.  Liz was such a great help to Brynn!

When we found out Brynn made the team.  Liz came and decorated her room.  So cute.  Brynn was really excited when she saw it!  Thanks Liz for all you did for Brynn!

We took Payton and Brynn out to dinner and ice cream to celebrate!  Way to go Brynn!
