Yosemite

Luke's school took a field trip to Yosemite for 3 days.  Travis was able to go chaperone along with Clint and his two boys.  They had a great time, and said the scenery was out of a magazine!

This quiet river was next to Luke's camp.  One morning while he was eating breakfast he fell in.  He was wet all the way up to his neck! The picture below is him hiding from all his classmates so they wouldn't see him wet!

Luke & Brock's cabin.  They roomed with two other boys in his class.
On the hike Luke kept asking Travis to take pictures of him at all different spots, here is just one of them.
 The amazing Half Dome!

The waterfalls were so huge up there.  To reach this you have to hike the Mist Trail.  It is wet from the mist of the waterfalls and has a sheer cliff on the edge.  When they were hikeing a man tried walking around their group and lost his footing on the edge.  He almost fell over but after swinging his arms he caught his balance.  So scary!  2 days after they left there were 2 deaths.  One was a teenage boy who got swept over the Falls, and one was a climber who fell off of El Capitan.

Travis and Luke above the Falls!

 Beautiful!
On their way home they stopped at Mariposa Grove where the Sequoia Tree's are.  Travis says they were huge!

Travis is smaller than the roots!
This is the biggest tree, Travis says it's hard to see in the picture, but it was huge!  He said one branch was 7ft thick!!!

Kamryn's Preschool Graduation

So I sent Kamryn downstairs to have Travis take a picture of her for her Preschool Graduation and this is what I found on the camera! All the poses were killing me and what's even more funny is Travis kept taking the pictures, I didn't even put them all on.........

The night before her graduation in her prayers she said "Please bless I don't break my arm again tomorrow." I thought that was so cute that she remembered it was on graduation day that she fractured her arm. Cute prayer!

Kamryn performing songs for us.
I have to admit I was fighting tears the whole time.  I am always excited for my kids to move on in life, but not when it's the last.  So hard!

Ms. Cara and Kamryn.....she was such a great teacher.
Here goes our baby.......................

Los Angeles Zoo

I got to go with Drew and his class on a field trip to the LA Zoo.  We had a really fun time.  Clint went with Pearce, so it made it a lot more enjoyable.  We took this picture and then afterwards Drew says, "Oh wait, let's take one more." Then he surprised me with a kiss on my cheek......that's my sweet Drew-Boo!

Parents Mission Farwell

My parents are heading out to Denmark on their 6th mission.  Liz convinced me to drive up to St. George with her to see them off.  I grab Kamryn and headed up with her.  It was really fun to be with my parents and 4 of my other siblings for their farewell!
 We will miss them!

San Jacinto Hike

So for Liz's birthday her wish was for us to Hike Mt San Jacinto.  It was a 11.6 mile hike.  So in the name of love for Liz we all got our gear and headed up.  You have to take a tram to 8,300 feet and then you start your hike from there to reach the summit.  We were a little worried because just walking up the steep parking lot to the tram winded us all!

We had such a fun time and feel very accomplished after hiking this!

All of us riding up the tram.........

Getting ready to start our long hike!
Quality Family Time

 About 1,000 feet to go.
Hiding in a tree that was struck by lightning

This is where we paused and stopped for lunch.  Liz will love to tell you about a squirrel that kept freaking me out during our stop.  He kept getting creepishly close and I thought for sure it was going to bite me.  I ended up eating the rest of my lunch looking over my shoulders.

 Still going.....
This is how Travis got Paige up to the top, it was great team work!

San Jacinto Summit 10,834ft

We made it and we were above the clouds!

Liz showing her love to me!

Even though this picture is blurry, I like it because it has the sign in it for proof!  We all sang "Happy Birthday" to Liz at the top and then to the random guy in the back round of the picture below because he said he just had his birthday too.....
Clint & Paige, Travis & Meredith, Liz & Jeremy on the way up we kept singing "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger!"
Meredith, Paige, and Liz on the top.
Travis doing a hand stand on the very tip top of the mountian.....Clint (afraid of heights) couldn't even watch, he said watching that is worse than a Horror Film!

We were on our way down and took a rest and Clint got us laughing, he said he was ready to just give up! HaHa!

Finished Sisters & Brother!
This was such an awesome day.  We got to spent time with each other with absolutely no distractions and got to just visit, tell stories, and laugh.  Happy Birthday Liz!
