Meredith's 34th B-day

I had a great birthday this year.... To celebrate Travis and I went to dinner the Sat before and did a little shopping. On my birthday my brother Clint took me to lunch which was so fun spending brother/sister time together. After that I went and got my hair done (can you tell it is darker?) The kids made me the cutest cards that made me cry, and they cleaned the house for me! My friend Allison Brown made me a cake, which was so thoughtful and delicious....I love cake! Although, my birthday hit an all time high when I found a surprise entry on the blog (the previous one) with all his cute "thank you's".......and coming across #45 was a complete surprise! I seriously cannot wait!

Drew's First Day of Preschool 2010

Drew was very excited about going to preschool this year, even though you can't tell by the first picture. I had to do a lot of bribing to get a smile in the second one. If he packs his lunch he gets to stay an extra 45 min for "Lunch Bunch". He had a great first day. I missed him, but I was happy for him to get out of the house, he was ready.

Big Girl Bed

The time has come.......Kamryn slept in her big girl bed for the first time last night. She has been ready since she learned to escape the crib a month ago, but we have had lots of company this summer occupying her room, so I decided to wait till the last of the company came. She was really excited. I put her to bed, and she went down so well. Thinking this was going way too smoothly, I decided I better check on her an hour later.......and found her with her light on playing with all her toys. Hey, at least she stayed in her room. So I put her back again and she stayed this time. As I was getting ready for bed it felt so weird not having a baby in a crib, and knowing all my kids were tucked safe in their beds. I thought that feeling would make me sad, but it actually felt very fulfilling........

Happy 35th Travis

Travis had a very busy birthday as a bishop. He was gone the whole day and got back 10 minutes before he had to put on a fireside at our house. Even though he was so swamped, I know he was happy to serve and share his birthday with 25 other youth!
How did I get so lucky to get you? You are everything I dreamed my life would be.......I love you birthday boy.

Beach Camping

We went camping on the beach for a night at Doheny.......It was SO fun. Our friends the Molnars and the Meadors had two extra spots, so Clint and I took them. I am so glad we did. We were right on the beach and had a blast! See how close the tents are to the water, right by it! It was incredible. The waves were so big, hit so hard that sometimes the shoreline would shake like an earthquake. We stayed up late laughing and eating. By 6am the kids were in the suits, playing in the water, and waking up all the campers.....no lie.

We were so excited to sleep on the beach we had to get a picture of it. The top of our tent was open so we could see the stars, well more like the beach clouds. The waves were really loud, but relaxing to sleep too.

See her sleep eyes? She slept in so late that day, I think I need to get some beach sounds to play in her bedroom at home.

Kamryn and Julia Molnar, they followed each other a lot.

Pearce, Drew, and Trevor Molnar

The girls were in the waves non-stop

We had all just rolled out of our tents

Loving the beach time.......

On our way here we had a funny story: We were driving up the freeway and saw an RV that looked just like the Molnars. So we caught up to it and slowed down so we could look over at them. Well, when we got level with the RV we noticed it was not the Molnars, but it was our good friends from BYU the Edmonds......what!?! It was so funny. What were the chances? They were actually heading to Doheny to for the day too. So we were able to meet up with them and catch up a little bit. I guess we were over do for a get together! So crazy.

San Diego

The Mormon Battalion
San Diego, CA
We decided to take a day and go visit San Diego. We had not been down to the Mormon Battalion since they had remodeled it. It turned out so awesome. It is very hands on and takes you through their journey with the Battalion. It makes you appreciate your ancestors. The kids loved it.

They found some.......

The San Diego Zoo

One of Travis's clients gives us tickets every year to the zoo (she is on the left of Kennedy). She picked Kennedy to help her with her show.

This one is cute.....
