CrAzY hAiR DaY

The kids had "crazy hair day" at school this week, so I had to get a picture. Notice Drew and Kamryn totally posing in the back round, they did that on their own.

Kennedy 9yrs, Luke 7yrs, Brynn 10yrs.
This is a picture of Kennedy practicing piano before school. Her hair consumes her....

Yeah, done with busy season!

Luke says: "Dad, now that you are done with busy season, does that mean you get to come home from church with us on Sundays?"

Travis says: "No son, that is a whole different busy season!"

My Sunday Helper

Now that Travis is Bishop, I have to sit with 5 kids on the bench by myself through church. Well, I have such a fun friend in my ward named Sherri........every Sunday she comes up to me before sacrament meeting and slips me candy. She told me it is to keep my kids quiet.....hummm, bribery, I am really good at that.....I guess when she was young, her dad was the bishop. A lady in their ward would bring her mom candy every Sunday to use. So she has continued the tradition, and I am so grateful she did! The candy keeps me quiet too! I am touched she thinks of me by her little act of kindness, it really helps me during my hardest hour on Sunday's.....Thanks Sherri!

When Mom Showers.....

Kamryn 2yrs
This is what was going on in the backyard when I was getting ready for church.......

Waiting for the BIG one.....

It has been a week now, and Luke will not sleep on his top bunk. He is convinced the "BIG" earthquake is going to happen......A week ago we felt the 7.2 earthquake they had in Mexico, it felt different than any other earthquake. There was no rattling or shaking. It felt like we were rocking or swaying on a boat. So that experience coupled with an FHE about the second coming has Luke not taking any chances. He thinks sleeping on the bottom bunk with Drew will save him from falling walls and ceilings. He bunkers down under lots of blankets and pillows.....we will see how long that lasts when the hot summer weather comes around!

Happy Easter 2010

We had a wonderful Easter morning.....the kids got up early to go hunt for their baskets. After a little bit of clues they were able to find them. They all went on a treasure hunt to find a little prize at the end..... PJ's and a magnetic book (great quiet church activity, the Easter Bunny read my mind)! The kids even saw the Easter Bunny's paw print in the girls room carpet, they were thrilled. We then set up camp to watch General Conference in our TV room. I couldn't think of a better way to spend Easter then sitting with my children and hearing our prophet President Monson speak to us.
