My Newest Decoration

When Travis see's this post he is not going to believe it because I figured out how to download this picture by myself. In his mind he will be thinking of how many pictures I erased to get this one posted, and if I possibly dumped the hard drive during "the act". He's so busy at work right now that he gave me the "email's only" request today, unless it's an emergency. I couldn't really call this an "emergency", although to him this may be.
Anyway, This is my new/favorite decoration I got from my trip from UT, and I had to share it with you. It is a calender that has plexi-glass over it, so I can write all of the family's schedule on it each month. I usually have it hidden and zipped up in my planner, but this way Travis can see what's going on. I have it in a corner on my kitchen counter, where every one can see it, but no little hands can touch. I love it!

Modbe/Girls Weekend

Emery (8 months) and Kamryn (7 months) taking a bath.
Kristen and I ready to go the the Modbe launch.
Kristen and I on the "runway" of the new Modbe Fall line.
Robin Stevens, Me, and Kristen (Old college roomates)
Ok, I have the best husband ever! He flew me out to UT with Kamryn for a Modbe convention over the weekend, and he stayed home and juggled all the kids and their soccer, church, homework schedules. He did a great job.
So I started selling Modbe clothing (as you can see my link on the side) because the girl who did it in the area was moving, and I really loved the stuff and wanted to keep it accessible to the other women here in CA. So I decided to do it, and have enjoyed it. So I got to escape to Provo and see the launch of the new fall line. They even took volunteers to help show the clothes on the runway, and if you did you got a free pair of jeans! Uh free jeans, they have awesome jeans, so I did it, and it was so much fun. The other great part about this story is I got to spend it with one of my best friends from High school. We met our Sophomore year in England. We have SO many funny memories and inside jokes. She has always been someone that makes me laugh, has the best stories, and great advice. It's always nice to remember what it feels like to be around a life long friend. She came with me Friday night to help hold Kamryn during the fashion show, and then drove me all around to see old friends and family. Thanks Kristen for an unforgettable weekend, and Oh yeah--thanks Trav.

Drew Swimming

Can you believe Drew is swimming! He is 2 1/2 yrs. old. He just started about a week ago, and hasn't wanted to stop. He also tells me he wants to be a dolphin, then I turn around and he DIVES in head first. If you haven't met Drew, then you don't know that he is our wild toddler. Just while I've been setting up this blog he has cut open cake mixes, dumped them on my newly mopped floor, and has been licking it up! Most of the days I have to bring him in with me during the shower and make him sit on the back bench, just to make sure he won't burn the house down while I am in there.

My Birthday

Another year has come and gone, and I have five kids--crazy! I had a great birthday. Travis and I went out to eat at BJ's resturant ( I love that place), then did a little bit of shopping. Always my favorite part! It happened to be adult stake conference so we headed over to that. Where the women were "gently" reminded to stop showing their cleavage. It was pretty funny. I had such a nice day, thanks to Trav.

POOL

After alot of thinking, we decided to put a pool in. It has been the highlight of the summer. It has been so fun to go out after lunch and swim for the afternoon. I love the evenings when we all go out after dinner and just swim together as a family.

First Day of School

Luke 5yrs
Kennedy 7yrs
Brynn 9yrs
The kids were so excited for the first day of school. They couldn't fall asleep, then Kennedy came in at 3:00am saying she couldn't sleep! Umm, I don't think so. So we all walked to school and kissed everyone goodbye. Luke's in Kindergarten, Kennedy is in a 2/3 combo, and Brynn is in 4th. So now it is me, Drew, and Kamryn at home in the morning. Yeah, only 2 kids to go grocery shopping with.

Travis's Pool Party

We had an "adult" swim party for Travis's 08-08-08 Birthday in our backyard. We had friends over and yummy food. There was lots of laughing and toe pointing in the pool from the birthday boy. We loved visiting and swimming with everyone. Happy 33rd Trav!

Finally....

I have finally set up a blog. My friend Amber is so creative and came to my aid. I have been really feeling anxious to start "journaling" our families experiences. We had a lot of happenings in August, so I am going to start there. Hope you all enjoy it.
